Start sewing

The masks will go to (non-healthcare) essential community workers in Chester County. The need for masks is there and is growing. There are not enough factory-made masks – so we are sewing! After we finish making masks for community workers, we can start making masks for organizations. Please contact us if your organization needs masks. You will be notified when they are available.

Instructions for Mask Makers

Step 1: Join our facebook group

This will be our volunteer communication hub. Please post your sewing tips, tricks, and questions. As we receive supplies and donations, we will announce them here.

Step 4: Sanitize It

Please wash your hands for 20 seconds before you clean the masks. You can sterilize your masks by washing them, using the sterilize setting on the dryer or iron them on the hottest setting.

Step 2: Gather materials

We have several generous donors that have offered supplies and sewing machines. Please contact us if you are in need of supplies or post about it on our Facebook page.

Step 5: bag it up

Please place finished masks in a paper or plastic bag. Please write the number of masks on the outside of the bag (please add 25 masks max to each bag). If donating child-sized masks, place them in a separate, labeled bag. Please disinfect the outside of the bag.

Step 3: Make Masks

Please make masks using the instructions and pattern below. Feel free to use the Facebook group to ask questions, post progress and finished product pictures, and let us know how many you've made!

Step 6: Shoot us a message

When you drop off masks, please send a direct message to our Facebook page or text 484-401-7620, telling us how many and what location you dropped them off. Please do not post it to the group. If you can give us a heads up before you drop off, then confirm after, even better.
